Looking back on 2020…

Seek Week Reunion Mailchimp Recap.png

From May 4th to May 8th, our first Seek Week called churches from the 34 cities of Orange County together in 5 days of unified prayer as a rally cry for the Church – a chance to rise together as those who place our hope in God, and our future in His hands.

Hundreds played a part in carrying 120 hours of unbroken intercession through the 24/7 prayer chain. Over 150 churches united in prayer through live online experiences.

Another important window opened for churches to cry out to God together in light of the national and global conversations around racism and systemic injustice.

A Seek Week Reunion was assembled with more than 200 people representing dozens of church communities who listened to the stories, perspectives and convictions from key black pastors in Orange County.

As the November election quickly approached, and uncertainties continued to rise, hundreds came together for another chance to contend in prayer together on November 4th and 5th. Regardless of political outcomes, it was critical that our divided, disoriented world saw a united, dependent Church.

Here's what some of our Orange County pastors had to say:
"In a time when so many different dynamics in our world and culture are serving to pull the church apart, Floodways' vision and efforts to bring leaders and churches together...around the table, around prayer and in the bond of Christ has been a beautiful and positively subversive movement of faith in these troubling times. I'm so grateful to have been blessed by such a life-giving ministry." - Mark Page, Lead Pastor Grace Fellowship Church
“I am so thankful for Floodways and Todd’s leadership ability to rally the Church at a time we have desperately needed each other. We have been able to look at each other through screens and yet be reminded that the Church is meaningful, the Church is powerful – and we are not alone.” - Chad Halliburton, Campus Pastor Rock Harbor, Mission Viejo
"A united church has always been Jesus’ prayer. Floodways is partnering with the Holy Spirit to be part of the answer here in Orange County. Thanks for your leadership!" - Todd Rodarmel, Lead Pastor Mountain View Church

• "In what many would call the most painful and challenging year, there was a bright light shining through the darkness. That bright light came through the ministry of Floodways. Floodways gave me hope and purpose as I was able to experience unity among pastors of different races while our country was facing massive division. The Seek Week gatherings injected life in our church and awakened our hearts to authentic and powerful prayer. Pastors, if you are feeling isolated and without hope, Floodways is here to give you relationships and purpose for your journey." - Sheridan McDaniel, Lead Pastor A Place For Worship

OC Intercessors.png

Floodways launched the Orange County Intercessory Prayer Team with our friend, Ed Salas - Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Newsong Church.

Already, over 20 intercessors gather monthly for virtual trainings and to pray for the Church, its leaders, and for spiritual breakthrough. Since our launch in October, we've hosted 2 virtual trainings and plan to host more in 2021 for the remaining 40+ intercessors who have been recommended by pastors across Orange County. Launching strategic prayer covering for leaders and churches by region in January 2021.
